Box Score WORCESTER, Mass. – Clark University men's basketball were taken down by WPI on Wednesday night as an 18-point night from Jake Wisniewski bolstered five Engineers in double-figures en route to a 102-62 final in the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC).

How it Happened
Junior Tyler Davern (Webster, Mass.) tallied a game-high 23 points on a 9-of-14 shooting performance while nabbing 11 rebounds for his sixth double-double of the year and also coming away with one assist and one block.
Junior Biko Gayman (Fort Pierce, Fla.) maintained his 21-game streak of double-figure scoring by turning in 15 points to go with a team-high six assists. Junior Matthew Waggett (Saugus, Mass.) chipped in nine points and three rebounds while first-year Joshua Schibi (Burlington, Conn.) set new career-highs of eight points and five rebounds in 22 minutes of action.
For WPI, Wisniewski's 18-point outing was aided by Colin McNamara and Garrett Stephenson who rounded out the starters in double-figures with 12 points apiece. First-year John Lowther led all reserves with 12 points while Lou Doherty turned in 10 for the Engineers.
The Engineers got out to a ten-point lead as four points from Wisniewski led the 10-0 scoring run out of the gates. Clark got its first bucket at 16:34 on the clock on a lay-up from sophomore Zackary Mittelstadt (Wilton, Mass.) before back-to-back lay-ups from Gayman brought the deficit down to nine points.
WPI used another ten-point unanswered run to increase the margin as Garrett and Wisniewski combined for seven points in the stretch before a lay-up from Waggett interrupted the run. The Engineers controlled the scoring with a 24-14 clip through the final 8:55 of the half with Davern supplying eight points for the Cougars. WPI took a 51-28 advantage into the locker room.
Davern kept up his strong play throughout the second half with the junior totaling 15 points in 14 minutes played while canning three shots from beyond the arc. However, WPI was able to maintain the momentum it generated over the first half en route to the 102-62 final.
The Cougars finishes 22-for-58 from the floor (37.9%) while connecting on 8-of-29 from three-point distance while the Engineers finished 37-of-67 shooting (55.2%) while hitting on 16-of-18 from beyond the arc. WPI held a 41-31 advantage on the glass in the win.
