SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Clark University volleyball team (12-8) played a pair of matches Saturday afternoon and fell 3-0 to Eastern Connecticut State (13-5) and topped Western New England (9-9) 3-1 at the Alumni Healthful Living Center.

The Cougars fell 25-14 in the first, 25-17 in the second, and 25-22 in the third to Eastern Connecticut State. In the 3-1 win over WNE, Clark took the first set 25-16, fell 25-19 in the second, won 25-19 in the third, and 25-23 in the fourth.

Eastern Connecticut St. 3, Clark 0

• Sophomore Sofia Scherrer del Llano led the team with eight kills in the match.
• Fellow sophomore Victoria Pastor added six kills of her own in the contest.
• Senior Sophia Torino dished out eight assists and first-year Yvanna Torres tallied five.
• Fellow senior Marimo Oka recorded 11 digs to lead the team.
• Clark totaled 22 kills, 18 assists, and 35 digs in the contest.

Clark 3, Western New England 1

• Sophomore Camille Flurry led the way with 11 kills.
• Scherrer del Llano recorded 10 kills, while Pastor added eight of her own.
• Sophomore Sheyenne Williams registered seven kills and two blocks.
• Torres led the team with 17 assists, first-year Emily Newman dished out 12, and Torino added 11.
• Senior Marimo Oka recorded 22 digs.
• The Cougars recorded 47 kills, 43 assists, and 69 digs in the match.

Clark will travel to Emerson for a NEWMAC contest on Tuesday night beginning at 7:00 p.m.
