WORCESTER, Mass.- Clark (1-2) lost their fall finale 9-0 to Eastern Nazarene College (2-0) from the Corash Tennis Courts on Friday.
Despite missing four of its top five players in singles, the team's next-man-up mentality led to many competitive matches and made Coach Cahoon proud.
Doubles
•Graduate students Duncan Drapeau and Holden Moore fell in their No. 2 doubles match for the Cougars.
•The Lions also defeated Clark at No. 3 doubles, with graduate student Josh Podolsky and first-year Aidan Hurtado falling 8-3 for Clark.
•ENC completed the sweep win an 8-4 win at No. 1 doubles. Junior Dariy Vykhodtsev and first-year Ryan Hovey played for the Cougars.
Singles
•Moore and first-year Adrian Ramirez made their respective singles' debuts for the scarlet and white at No. 5 and No. 6.
•Hurtado was defeated at No. 3 singles, while Hovey lost 6-3, 6-1 in his first match at No. 1 singles.
•Playing in his first singles match since 2019 Drapeau fought hard at No. 4 singles, even tied 4-4 in the first set, before ultimately falling 6-4, 6-2.
•Podolsky took the court for the Cougars at No. 2 singles, the highest he'd played in the lineup. The graduate saw many long points in a 6-1, 6-3 defeat.
What's Next
Clark men's tennis concluded their fall with a 1-2 record. Their spring season will begin on February 12th against Division II opponent Franklin Pierce.
