Box Score WORCESTER, Mass. – The Clark women's basketball team (1-1) finished third in the Worcester City Tournament after cruising to a 69-38 win over Anna Maria (0-2) on Saturday afternoon from the Kneller Gymnasium.
Graduate student Hannah Favaloro was named to the All-Tournament Team after averaging 16.5 points and 11.0 rebounds over the two games.
How it Happened
- Clark opened game with five of the first seven points off a made layup from Favaloro and a three-pointer from senior Hallie Johnson and extended the lead to 11-7 off a layup from senior Julia Beebe and one from Favaloro with 3:56 remaining in the first.
- Sophomore Emma Levesque connected on a three and sophomore Alaina Schatzabel made a layup to as Clark led 16-12 at the end of the first.
- The Cougars opened the second quarter on a 10-3 run led by a pair of three's from senior Ginny Benbow and one from Johnson to take a 26-15 lead.
- The Amcats pulled within eight before sophomore Mariah Harris connected on a pair of layups and Johnson made a layup with five seconds left in the second as Clark took a 36-23 lead into the locker room.
- Johnson connected on an early three in the second half as Clark led by 16 and the team's traded baskets over the next few minutes before Favaloro pushed the lead to 49-30 with 3:00 left in the third and a layup from sophomore Emma Levesque at the end of the third pushed the lead to 59-32 as Clark ended the third on a 10-2 run.
- Five Cougars scored in the final quarter as Clark pulled away from Anna Maria and came away with a 69-38 victory.

- Favaloro recorded her first double-double of the season with 17 points and 13 rebounds.
- Johnson connected on four three-pointers and netted 14 points.
- Benbow also reached double-figures with 10 points.
- Clark grabbed 40 total rebounds, dished out 21 assists, and recorded 21 steals.
