Box Score WORCESTER, Mass. – The Clark women's basketball team (5-4) dropped a non-conference contest to Bates (6-1) by a 79-45 margin on Saturday afternoon from Alumni Gym.
How it Happened
- Clark took an early 6-2 lead sparked by six straight points from graduate student Hannah Favaloro and a three from senior Ginny Benbow pushed the lead to 9-7 with 5:46 left in the first before the Bobcats took a 25-16 after one despite four more points from Favaloro.
- Senior Cam Richey opened the second with a three and a layup to pull within six at 27-21 before Bates extended the lead again and Favaloro and senior Hallie Johnson ended the first half with layups as the Bobcats led 38-25 at the break.
- Richey, Favaloro, and Johnson each made layups and Johnson connected on a triple as Bates led 55-34 with 3:41 left and senior Julia Beebe made a jumper to end the quarter as Bates held a 62-37 advantage after three quarters.
- Sophomore Alaina Schatzabel led the way with three points in the fourth while junior MiKayla Dotson and sophomore Mariah Harris each scored two points as Clark fell 79-45.
