NEWPORT, R.I. –Clark women's soccer (4-4-0, 0-1-0 NEWMAC) netted two goals in the final two minutes of play, but fell 4-3 to Salve Regina (5-5) on Wednesday night from Toppa Field in a non-conference match.

How it Happened

• Senior Morgan Small recorded her first save of the game in the sixth minute on a shot from the right side of the pitch off the foot of Olivia Pickard and Small registered another save in the 14th minute before the Seahawks took a 1-0 lead off a goal from Zoe Cox.
• The Cougars offense responded with the contests next two shots on goal from first-year Cassandra Trevino fired a shot in the 18th minute and senior Mia Advocate put one on net in the 28th minute that were both saved.
• Junior Emma Tziachris earned a free kick in the 32nd minute from the left side of the pitch and sent a ball in on goal that nearly went over the head of goalie Georgia Drake, but the goalie jumped to make the save.
• Sophomore Anika Floeck attempted the final shot on goal of the half in the 41st minute that was saved and graduate student Sarah Berube serviced in a corner kick in the 45th minute that was headed just high by Trevino as Salve led 1-0 at the half.
• Berube and first-year Isabella Ramirez each put shots on target early in the second half, but both were saved and the Seahawks extended their lead to 2-0 in the 56th minute off a corner from Olivia Pickard to Cox.
• The Cougars pulled within a goal of the lead shortly after when senior Mia Advocate found junior Siobhan Lounsbury, who fired a right-footed shot to the top right corner of the goal in what was now a 2-1 game in the 56th minute.
• Lounsbury put another shot on target in the 62nd minute that was saved, but Salve again pushed the lead to two goals off another goal from Pickard to Cox on a corner kick in the 64th minute.
• Small made a crucial save on Cox off another corner, but Salve found the back of the net again shortly after the Small save on a shot from Meagan McLaughlin.
• Senior Deanna D'Innocenzo, Floeck, sophomore Imani Salazar, and senior Haley Berkowitz each fired shots on goal that were saved before Salazar found the back of the net off a corner kick serviced in from Berube as Clark cut the deficit to 4-2 in the 89th minute.
• Junior Jamie Stern added a goal less than a minute later from the left side of the field in the final minute of the contest that went over Drake's head to pull within one goal of the lead at 4-3, which ended up being the final score.
