Box Score WORCESTER, Mass. – The Clark women's basketball team (6-8, 0-2 NEWMAC) played its second conference game of the season and fell 76-40 to Babson (10-4, 1-0 NEWMAC) on Wednesday night from the Kneller Gymnasium.
Graduate student Hannah Favaloro was honored prior to the game after she became the 23rd player in program history to reach the 1,000 point club against WPI last Saturday.
How it Happened
- Babson opened the game with a 9-7 lead despite a three-pointer from sophomore Mariah Harris and four points from senior Emily Sifferlen and the Beavers ended the quarter with the final five points, with a layup from Camilla Silk giving Babson a 14-7 edge after one quarter of play.
- The Beavers opened the second quarter on an 8-3 run, with the three-pointer coming from senior Cam Richey and a three from first-year Megan Swedberg got Clark within nine at 22-13 with 6:34 left in the second quarter.
- Favaloro then added four points, including an and-one layup with 0:18 remaining in the second as the Beavers went into the half with a 37-19 lead.
- Junior Sarah Zambrano buried a jumper early in the second half to end a Beaver 6-0 run to start the second half before Babson went on a 14-0 run that was ended by a Sifferlen and-one layup as the Beavers led 59-24 after three quarters.
- Favaloro led the way with six points in the fourth quarter as Babson came away with a 76-40 victory.
