Box Score WORCESTER, Mass. – The Clark University volleyball team (10-14, 3-5 NEWMAC) welcomed Emerson (14-4, 5-3 NEWMAC) to the Kneller on Tuesday night and fell 3-0 to the Lions in three sets.
How it Happened
- The two teams traded points in the first set as senior Cameron Gill recorded Clark's first kill in a 7-7 game before the Lions took a 10-9 edge.
- Juniors Sheyenne Williams and Camille Flurry each recorded kills in the middle of the set as Emerson led 18-14 and senior Claudia Rivera posted three kills down the stretch as the Lions won the set 25-19.
- Clark got out to a 12-7 lead in the second set as junior Victoria Pastor posted two kills and recorded a service ace, while Rivera added two more kills.
- The set was then tied 16-16, 18-18, 19-19, and 20-20 as the teams continued to trade points, but the Lions came away with a 25-21 win in the set despite another Rivera kill.
- Emerson held a 10-4 lead in the final set, but Clark got back in it with three unanswered points capped by a Pastor kill.
- Pastor recorded three kills down the stretch and Clark got to as close as within four at 24-20, but fell 25-20 in the last set.

- Clark recorded 25 kills, dished out 23 assists, and registered 34 digs.
- Rivera led the team with nine kills.
- Pastor added eight kills.
- Sophomore Yvanna Torres led the squad with 14 assists and graduate student Margarita Perez Maza recorded seven.
