Box Score WORCESTER, Mass. – The Clark field hockey team (6-10, 1-7 NEWMAC) welcomed No. 9 Babson (14-3, 7-0 NEWMAC) to Granger Field for the team's senior day game and the Beavers came away with a 4-0 win on Saturday afternoon.
Seniors Abbe Cravinho, Maggie Herlihy, and Erin Lally were honored prior to the game for their contributions to Clark field hockey.
How it Happened
- First-year Loren Root recorded a pair of saves in the first four minutes of action before Isabelle Fournier put a shot in the back of the net with an assist going to Jessica Evans.
- First-year Emma Macintire then registered a defensive save in the sixth minute and Root recorded three more saves over the rest of the period.
- First-year Ciaran Cubbage fired a shot on goal that nearly tied the game in the 12th minute, but Bayla Furmanek recorded a save.
- Berit Sharrow added to the Beavers lead in the 23rd minute and graduate student Kimberlie Asseng took three Clark penalty corners before the end of the half as the Beavers led 2-0 at the half.
- Macintire recorded another defensive save in the 34th minute and Root posted a save in the 35th minute before Babson extended the lead to 3-0 when Camille Marsh found the back of the net.
- Root recorded three saves in the fourth quarter as Babson came away with a 4-0 win.
