Krasnow Competes at NCAA Championships

LANSING, MI. – Sophomore Ruby Krasnow became the first Cougar in program history to compete at the NCAA Championships when she competed on Saturday morning from the Forest Akers Golf Course in Michigan.

Coach Mauro Quote

Ruby had an outstanding race! She showed up in so many ways for Clark today. The conditions were some of the worst I've ever seen. The course had a layer of packed snow making it incredibly difficult to gain traction and temperatures felt like 7 degrees with the windchill. Ruby overcame every challenge she faced and gave it everything she had.  She charged up slippery hills and really picked it up the last 2K for an incredibly strong finish!  What more could we ask for in a Clark representative? I am over the moon proud of Ruby, her mentality, and what she did on the course today. I am so happy Ruby decided to walk on to the Clark cross country team. I don't think that anyone, Ruby included predicted that it would lead to a spot on the national starting line.  She has poured herself into this sport and done so much behind the scenes to get herself here today. This has been an amazing season for Ruby and the cougars. Ruby has not only helped the team on the course but she has also been a tremendous teammate and culture created. She has shown what dedication, self-care, and compassion can yield.  The team has rallied around Ruby and she has rallied around the team. I am beyond honored to be Ruby's coach and a part of this amazing Cougar family!
