Box Score WORCESTER, Mass. – The Clark men's basketball team (6-0) played their first game post-Thanksgiving break and came away with a 95-67 victory over Roger Williams (2-2) on Sunday night from the Kneller Gymnasium.
How it Happened
- Clark opened the game on a 10-5 run sparked by five points from junior Mikey O'Brien and a triple from first-year Reid Neumann and another O'Brien three-pointer with 15:31 left in the first half extended the lead to 13-7.
- The O'Brien triple helped spark a 10-0 run by the Cougars with O'Brien connected on his third three and the run capped off by a layup off a steal from sophomore Isaiah Taylor to take a 20-7 advantage.
- Sophomore Ian Calabrese and junior Bruce Saintilus each made three-pointers over the next three minutes and a layup from Saintilus forced a Hawk timeout in a 32-19 game.
- After Roger Williams got back within 12, Calabrese hit a three-pointer and the Cougars also got buckets from sophomore Kekoa McArdle and Taylor extended the lead to 41-23 with 4:39 to go in the first half.
- Calabrese then hit three more three-pointers before the end of the first half as the scarlet and white took a 54-30 lead into the locker room.
- Roger Williams cut the deficit to 19 at 58-39 with 16:02 to go in the second half before the Cougars went on a 9-0 run led by five points from Saintilus to take a 67-39 lead with 14:03 remaining.
- Taylor then scored four points over the next two minutes and a layup from sophomore Donovan Price gave Clark a 77-43 edge.
- Graduate student Joel Arteaga then scored four of Clark's next six points and first-year Nate Edwards-Roseney made a layup with 6:27 remaining to make it an 85-54 game.
- Five Cougars scored down the stretch, including baskets from first-year Aeden Derrick and senior Charlie Trey-Masters as Clark came away with a 95-67 victory.

- The Cougars grabbed 41 rebounds, dished out 26 assists, and forced 17 turnovers.
- O'Brien netted 15 points and dished out eight assists.
- Calabrese added 15 points and made five three-pointers.
