Box Score WESTFIELD, Mass. – The Clark men's basketball team (7-0) extended their winning streak to seven games with a convincing 91-64 road win over Westfield State (1-6) on Thursday night from the Woodward Center.
How it Happened
- Clark opened the game on a 9-0 run over the first six minutes of play that saw a three-pointer from sophomore Ian Calabrese as well as baskets from sophomore Kekoa McArdle, junior Bruce Saintilus, and junior Jordan Richard.
- After the Owls got within three points of the lead, Richard buried a three-pointer and a three from sophomore Reid Neumann with 10:05 to go in the first quarter gave the Cougars a 19-11 lead.
- Saintilus then scored four points with a made free throw and three-pointer and three made free throws from sophomore Isaiah Taylor extended the lead to 27-16.
- Over a 4:00 minute stretch, Clark went on a 15-0 run sparked by seven points from Taylor, four from McArdle, and a bucket from both Saintilus and junior Mikey O'Brien as the Cougars held a 44-20 advantage with 1:56 left in the half.
- Neumann hit a three-pointer with 0:27 to go in the half and a Taylor layup in the final seconds of the half gave Clark a 51-31 advantage heading into the locker room.
- Taylor scored five points to open the second half, including an and-one layup as Clark held a 60-35 lead with 16:43 remaining.
- Saintlus then hit a pair of three-pointers and a pair of made free throws as the Cougars went on a 13-2 run and an O'Brien jumper with 13:56 extended the advantage to 73-37.
- Calabrese hit a triple and a bucket from Saintilus accounted for Clark's next five points as the Owls went on a 23-5 run to get back within 18 at 78-60 with 4:28 to go.
- Taylor and O'Brien responded with three points apiece and a pair of O'Brien free throws with 1:44 remaining extended the lead to 86-63 and Clark went on to earn a 91-64 win.

- Taylor netted 20 points and dished out five assists.
