Six Score in Double-Figures as Women's Basketball Coasts to 99-45 Win Over Lesley

MEDFORD, Mass. – The Clark women's basketball team (8-13) cruised to a 99-45 victory over Lesley (2-15) on Saturday afternoon from Medford High School.

How it Happened

  • Clark took an early 15-4 lead sparked by seven points from graduate student Hannah Favaloro, six points from senior Emily Sifferlen, and a jumper from first-year Megan Swedberg before Sifferlen added nine more points over the rest of the first quarter as the scarlet and white held a 28-10 lead after one quarter of play.
  • The Cougars started the second quarter on an 11-4 run led by three points from Favaloro, junior Jalin Waters, and sophomore Jacqueline Faulise and four points from junior Julianne Liebow pushed the lead to 43-14 with 4:12 left in the second.
  • Sophomore Alaina Schatzabel led the way with six points over the final 4:12 of the second quarter and a three-pointer from senior Cam Richey before the half pushed the lead to 56-16.
  • Clark opened the second half on an 11-9 run sparked by three points from both Schatzabel and sophomore Mariah Harris before Waters and Sifferlen each added two more points before the end of the quarter as the Cougars took a commanding 72-30 lead into the fourth.
  • Harris opened the fourth quarter with four points and Faulise added three points to extend the lead to 81-32 and a three-pointer from sophomore Emma Levesque pushed the advantage to 85-33 with 6:24 to go.
  • Faulise and Liebow each added five more points down the stretch as Clark pulled away with a convincing 99-45 win over Lesley.

Inside the Box Score

  • Sifferlen led the way with 18 points and grabbed six rebounds.
  • Favaloro recorded her 13th double-double of the year with 14 points and 10 rebounds.
  • Faulise added 15 points on 5-7 shooting and grabbed eight rebounds.
