WALTHAM, Mass. – The Clark women's basketball team (8-15) ended their season with an 81-58 loss to Brandeis (9-14) on Wednesday night from the Gosman Sports and Convocation Center.

How it Happened

• Clark scored the first four points of the night with layups from sophomore Emma Levesque and graduate student Hannah Favaloro before Brandeis took a 14-6 edge with 6:06 to go in the first quarter.
• First-year Megan Swedberg, senior Emily Sifferlen, and Favaloro each added two points over the remainder of the quarter, but the Judges held a 25-13 advantage after one quarter of play.
• Sifferlen and junior Julianne Liebow connected on three's early in the second and a pair of Favaloro free throws cut the deficit to 10 before Brandeis scored seven unanswered and sophomore Jacqueline Faulise ended the run with a layup in what was then a 38-23 game.
• Clark ended the half on an 8-0 run sparked by a three-pointer from junior Jalin Waters, an and-one layup from senior Cam Richey and a Sifferlen layup brought the Cougars within seven at 40-33 at the break.
• Favaloro and Richey combined for Clark's first seven points of the second half as the Cougars got within five and a Swedberg layup brought the scarlet and white to within three at 47-44 with 5:58 left in the third quarter before the Judges ended the quarter on a 11-2 run to lead 58-46.
• Richey made a pair of free throws and a Faulise triple got Clark as close as seven from the lead, but Brandeis pulled away despite four fourth quarter points from both Sifferlen and Richey as Brandeis won 81-58.
