PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Clark University baseball team (4-2) dropped a non-conference game against Rhode Island College (4-3-1) by a 12-1 margin on Friday night from Pontarelli Field.

How it Happened

• Sophomore Andres Hulfachor took the hill for Clark and struck out a batter in the first inning as RIC took a 3-0 lead after the first inning.
• Graduate student Trevor Ham belted a homer in the top of the second inning with nobody on base as Clark trailed 3-1.
• Senior Zachary Gitschier singled in the top of the third inning, but was left on base and graduate student Torsten Sloan Anderson retired the side in the bottom of the third.
• Sophomore Billy Sullivan singled and stole second in the top of the fourth and fellow sophomore David Egan singled in the top of the fifth and senior Kevin Irwin allowed no runs in the bottom of the fifth.
• Junior Ethan Belt registered the next hit in the top of the eighth and graduate students Chris Radovic and Ham walked in the top of the ninth, but Clark fell 12-1.
