Box Score WORCESTER, Mass. – The Clark University women's lacrosse team (2-4, 0-2 NEWMAC) played its conference home opener against Coast Guard (4-3, 2-0 NEWMAC) and fell 16-6 on Saturday afternoon from Granger Field.

- Junior Kiley Simmons gave Clark an early 1-0 lead when she found the back of the net off a pass from first-year Aubrey Conners.
- After Coast Guard added a pair of goals in the first quarter, first-year Meghan Fogarty tied the game up at 2-2 with a free position shot.
- Junior Maddie Conners made a pair of saves in the second quarter before the Bears added four unanswered goals and sophomore Claudia Oakleaf helped pull Clark within three at 6-3 at the half.
- Oakleaf brought the Cougars to within two at 6-4 with a free position goal with 9:46 to go in the third quarter.
- The Bears scored the contests next five goals to take an 11-4 lead and junior Elizabeth Liakos scored a free position goal as Clark trailed 11-5 after three quarters of action.
- Simmons netted Clark's final goal of the game as the Cougars fell 16-6.
