WORCESTER, Mass. – The Clark University baseball team (8-3) dropped a non-conference game against Worcester State (5-7) by an 11-1 margin from Lyons Diamond on Saturday afternoon.

How it Happened

• Graduate students Chris Radovic and Trevor Ham each singled in the top of the first inning before the Lancers scored three runs in the bottom of the first to take a 3-0 lead.
• Worcester State added four more runs in the bottom of the second and the Cougars got a pair of runners on base in the top of the third with junior Ryan Caulfield and sophomore Anthony LoCasto reaching base, but didn't come around to score.
• After junior Max Moss allowed no runs in the bottom of the third and junior Connor Rulnick reached second base in the top half of the fourth, Worcester State extended its advantage to 9-0 in the bottom of the inning.
• Senior Zachary Gitschier entered the game in the bottom of the sixth and tossed two shutout innings in which he struck out four batters.
• Clark scored its lone run of the game when sophomore Samuel Farrell came around to score in the top of eight on a ball hit by Ham and sophomore Cory Giannelli tossed a scoreless eighth inning.

• Clark recorded four hits and drew four walks.  
• Sophomore Billy Sullivan and Radovic each reached base twice in the game.
