Box Score SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Clark University women's lacrosse team (2-8, 0-5 NEWMAC) dropped a conference contest to Springfield (9-4, 5-0 NEWMAC) by a 20-3 margin on Wednesday night from Stagg Field.
How it Happened
- Junior Maddie Conners got the start in goal and recorded two saves early in the first quarter and sophomore Angela Borelli earned a free position attempt and had her shot saved with 3:30 left in the first.
- Fellow sophomore Jacqueline Faulise had a free position shot saved at the end of the first quarter and junior Elizabeth Liakos hit the crossbar with 7:50 remaining in the second quarter.
- Borelli had another free position attempt saved before the half as Clark trailed 16-0.
- After Oakleaf had a shot hit the post, she was able to get Clark on the board with 6:52 to go in the third.
- Liakos and Oakleaf scored the Cougars final two goals of the game in the fourth quarter.
