Box Score BABSON PARK, Mass. – The Clark University women's lacrosse team (2-5, 0-3 NEWMAC) traveled to Babson (5-4, 2-1 NEWMAC), but fell 21-2 on Saturday afternoon from MacDowell Field.
How it Happened
- Junior Maddie Conners recorded a pair of early saves, including one on a Babson free position attempt before the Beavers took a 3-0 lead despite shots on goals from sophomore Claudia Oakleaf and junior Elizabeth Liakos.
- Sophomore Angela Borelli cut the deficit to 3-1 with 3:46 to go in the first quarter with a shot that found the back of the net.
- Conners stopped another two shots in the final minutes of the first quarter as the Beavers held a 6-1 advantage.
- Junior Kiley Simmons fired a shot on goal with 5:54 to go in the second quarter and Conners added two more saves in the second quarter as Babson led 12-1 at the half.
- Oakleaf scored Clark's second goal of the game in the third quarter and Simmons fired two goals on target in the second half.
