Box Score WORCESTER, Mass. – The Clark University baseball team's (14-15, 3-11 NEWMAC) played its final game of the season against Babson (23-10, 12-2 NEWMAC) and despite recording 10 hits, fell 14-10 on Wednesday afternoon from Granger Field.
How it Happened
- After Babson scored a run in the top of the first, the Cougars offense responded with five runs of their own led by a two-RBI double to right center from senior Andrea Casabianca, an RBI single from junior Anthony Keefe, and Keefe and graduate student Trevor Ham came around to score on a ball hit by sophomore Billy Sullivan to take a 5-1 lead.
- The Beavers added seven runs in the top of the second, but Clark again answered with a run of their own when Casabianca hit a sacrifice fly to center field that brought home junior Ryan Caulfield to make it an 8-6 game.
- In the bottom of the fourth, Ham, Keefe, and graduate student Steven Mooney each drove in runs with an RBI walk, RBI hit by pitch, and a sacrifice fly in a now 13-9 ball game.
- Sophomore Andres Hulfachor threw a scoreless fifth inning before the Cougars got back within three when graduate student Chris Radovic hit an RBI fielder's choice to make it 13-10.
- Clark got a pair of runners on base in the bottom of the ninth when sophomore Samuel Farrell and Keefe each reached base, but the Beavers got out of the jam to win 14-10.
Inside the Box Score
- Casabianca went 2-4 with two runs scored, three RBI's, and a double.
- Caulfield recorded three hits and scored three runs in the contest.
- Ham and Keefe also went 2-4 from the dish, with Ham registering an RBI and Keefe drove in two runs.
- Hulfachor pitched six innings, only allowed four hits, one run, and struck out six batters.

Clark will return to the field on Friday when they travel across town to Holy Cross for a NEWMAC game against WPI beginning at 6:00 p.m.
