Box Score HARTFORD, Conn. – Clark women's soccer (2-4) played its second game in two days with a road contest against Trinity (3-0-2) and battled for 90 minutes, but were edged 1-0 by the Bantams on Sunday afternoon from Trinity Soccer Field.
How it Happened
- Sophomore Anabella White recorded two saves in the first 10 minutes of the match and registered another save in the 16th minute on a shot from Tori Simas.
- Hannah Storozuk put a shot on goal that White saved in the 18th minute and stopped another Bantam shot in the 33rd minute off the foot of Lexi Hasbrouck.
- After the game entered the half tied at 0-0, White kept the score tied right out of the half as she stopped another shot from Simas.
- Senior Emma Tziachris nearly gave Clark the lead in the 48th minute, but Mariana Cournoyer came away with a save.
- The Bantams were able to score the first goal of the match in the 54th minute on a shot from Sofia Quijada off a feed from Sadie Rudolph.
- Graduate student Jamie Joseph put a shot on goal in the 59th minute and senior Siobhan Lounsbury put one on target in the 62nd minute, but Cournoyer came away with two saves as Clark searched for the equalizer.
- Senior Jamie Stern got a clean look off in the 78th minute, but her shot was saved and the Cougars last chance of the game came in the 84th minute on a shot from Lounsbury, but again Cournoyer came away with a save as the Bantams won 1-0.
