WORCESTER, Mass. – The Clark University volleyball team (9-4, 3-0 NEWMAC) extended their winning streak to seven games with a pair of wins over Smith (11-4, 3-1 NEWMAC) and Trinity (3-7) on Saturday afternoon from the Kneller Gymnasium.

Clark 3, Smith 2

• Smith won the first set 25-17, Clark won the second and third sets (25-18, 25-21), Smith won the fourth set 25-15, and Clark won the fifth set 15-13 in a back-and-forth contest.
• The Cougars recorded 39 kills, dished out 36 assists, and recorded 65 digs.
• Senior Claudia Rivera led the team with 10 kills.
• Juniors Victoria Pastor and Sofia Scherrer del Llano each recorded seven kills.
• Junior Camille Flurry and senior Cameron Gill each registered five kills.
• Sophomore Yvanna Torres (17) and graduate student Margarita Perez Maza (13) led the team in assists.
• Graduate student Marimo Oka (21) and first-year Yumeng Liu (13) led the squad in digs.

Clark 3, Trinity 0

• Clark won the first and second sets by a 25-20 margin and the final set 25-13.
• The Cougars registered 36 kills, dished out 30 assists, and 41 digs.
• Rivera recorded a team-leading 17 kills.
• Pastor registered five kills.
• Junior Sheyenne Williams and Flurry each recorded four kills.
• Torres dished out 25 assists.
• Oka led the way with 16 digs.  

What's Next

Clark will be back in action on Tuesday night when they travel to Coast Guard for a NEWMAC contest beginning at 7:00 p.m.
