BRUNSWICK, Me. – The Clark University women's cross country team ran in their second event of the season on Saturday morning in the 6k event from the Bowdoin Invitational at Picard Field. The Cougars placed sixth out of 11 teams.

"Beautiful sunny day for a meet! The women's team had a strong finish at 6th place! Ruby kicked it in at the end to claim 4th! She PRed by over a minute and hung with that front pack the whole race! Chloe and Julia had strong races for their first collegiate cross country race! Rosa and Sophia worked together to inch towards the front in a really tactful race! Emmy, Siobhan, and Abby formed a strong group and proved the first years are a force to be reckoned with! Wynne hit a big PR for 6K!"
How it Happened
- Sophomore Ruby Krasnow led the team and set a PR in the 6k event with a time of 23:05.8, which was just three-tenths of a second behind Samantha Fellman of Tufts for third place.
- First-year Abigail Gahagan placed second on the team with a mark of 27:17.6 in the 6k event.
- Fellow first-years Siobhan Connolly (27:51.9) and Emma Udry (28:03.5) finished third and fourth on the team.
- Sophomore Lily Carey (28:19.7), junior Megan Gohn (29:33.9) and sophomore Rosa Newshore (30:22.9) rounded out Clark's top seven.

Clark will be back in action on Saturday when they compete at the Keene State Invitational.
