Box Score WEST HARTFORD, Conn. – The Clark field hockey team (4-5) won their fourth game of the year with a 1-0 win over St. Joe's (Conn.) (0-8) on Tuesday night from USJ Field Hockey Field.
How it Happened
- First-year Ciaran Cubbage recorded the first shot on goal of the game with a shot in the fifth minute that was saved and graduate student Erin Hynes put a shot on target in the ninth minute that was stopped.
- Graduate student Kimberlie Asseng attempted four penalty corners over the final four minutes of the first quarter as the game remained tied at 0-0.
- The Cougars took a 1-0 lead in the 18th minute with a shot from Hynes that found the back of the cage off a pass from senior Abbe Cravinho.
- First-year Loren Root recorded her first save of the game in the 28th minute as the Cougars took a 1-0 edge into the half.
- Root registered a save in the 41st minute and Cubbage recorded a shot on goal in the 42nd minute as both defenses continued to control the game.
- Clark didn't allow a shot on goal in the fourth quarter and Cubbage fired two shots on target and Asseng put one on goal as the Cougars won 1-0.
