BRIDGEWATER, Mass. – The Clark men's swimming and diving team competed in their second meet of the season on Saturday at Bridgewater State.
The Cougars were edged 165.5-85.5.
How it Happened
- In the 200-yard medley relay, Rowan Compton, Tyler Broderick, Daniel Smith, and Bradyn Potter placed third with a mark of 1:45.38.
- Later, in the 400-yard freestyle relay, Owen Powers, Michael Villalba, Sam Bier, and Nick Cordell won with a time of 3:45.69.
- Broderick registered a victory in the 50-yard breaststroke with a time of 28.70, won the 100-yard IM (1:01.23), and placed second in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:05.23).
- In the 50-yard freestyle, Smith clocked a time of 23.39 to place second, finished second in the 50-yard butterfly (24.95), and later finished third in the 100-yard freestyle (51.98).
- Potter placed second in the 100-yard IM with a time of 1:04.62.
- Alex Bielecki (10:56.90) finished second in the 1000-yard freestyle with a mark of 10:56.90.
- In the 100-yard butterfly, Compton finished third with a mark of 1:00.13 and in the 100-yard backstroke (1:02.35).
- Bier placed third in the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 11:12.39.
- Cordell finished third in the 200-yard freestyle with a mark of 2:00.39.
- In the 50-yard backstroke, Villalba clocked a time of 28.82.
What's Next
The scarlet and white will host their first event of the season on Saturday with a meet against Babson beginning at 1:00 p.m. from the Kneller Pool.
