WORCESTER, Mass. – The Clark men's swimming and diving team opened their three-day weekend at the Gompei Invitational on Friday from the WPI Recreation Center.  

How it Happened

• Alex Bielecki qualified in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:19.76 and later placed seventh in the B final with a mark of 2:20.00.
• In the 50-yard freestyle preliminaries, Evan Sucov (24.62), Michael Villalba (25.28), Jonathan Solomon (25.42), Declan Hanscom (25.54), Oscar Wong (25.69), and Daniel Neau (29.79) all competed,
• Sam Bier (5:14.00), Nick Cordell (5:22.10), Bradyn Potter (5:28.76), and Owen Powers (5:33.15) swam in the 500-yard freestyle preliminaries.
• Rowan Compton (59.11) and Daniel Smith (59.40) competed in the 100-yard butterfly preliminaries.
• In the 200-yard mixed medley relay, Clark recorded a time of 1:51.61.
• In the 200-yard medley relay, Smith, Tyler Broderick, Compton, and Potter clocked a time of 1:44.20.

Clark will be back for day two tomorrow morning beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the Gompei Invitational.
