WORCESTER, Mass. – The Clark men's swimming and diving team finished the final day of the Gompei Invitational on Sunday from WPI.
Clark finished 11th overall, ahead of Norwich and behind Merrimack. Bryant won the Gompei Invitational with 6,429.5 points.
How it Happened
- In the 200-yard backstroke, Sam Bier clocked a time of 2:17.41 in the final.
- Tyler Broderick registered a mark of 57.59 in the 100-yard individual medley event and a time of 27.37 in the 50-yard breaststroke.
- In the 100-yard individual medley final, Daniel Smith (1:01.72), Michael Villalba (1:02.96), and Nick Cordell (1:03.78) all swam.
- Rowan Compton clocked a mark of 2:08.97 in the 200-yard butterfly final.
- Alex Bielecki (30.05), Bradyn Potter (31.65), and Owen Powers (33.64) competed in the 50-yard breaststroke final.
- In the 1650 freestyle event, Bielecki clocked a time of 18:01.27, Compton (18:07.95), Bier (18:08,19), and Cordell (18:54.68) also competed.
- In the 400-yard freestyle relay, the Cougars registered a time of 3:34.59.
What's Next
Clark will return to the water on Friday, January 12 with a home meet against Wheaton beginning at 11:00 a.m. from the Kneller Pool.
