BOSTON, Mass. – The Clark women's basketball team (11-14, 2-8 NEWMAC) concluded their season with an 89-56 loss to MIT (16-9, 8-2 NEWMAC) on Saturday afternoon from the Rockwell Cage.

How it Happened

• Clark fell behind 5-4 over the first few minutes of action with the Cougar buckets coming from senior Sarah Zambrano and junior Alaina Schatzabel, before the Engineers extended the lead to 10-4 with five unanswered points.
• Junior Mariah Harris scored five of Clark's next eight points with a made jumper and a converted and-one to get the Cougars within nine and five unanswered from graduate student Cam Richey and a senior Jalin Waters three-pointer made it a 21-17 game with 1:18 remaining in the first.
• After MIT scored the final five points of the first, Schatzabel hit a layup with 9:14 to go in the second to make it a 29-19 contest before four straight free throws from Harris cut the deficit to eight at 31-23.
• The Engineers pushed the lead to 40-27 with 3:59 left in the second before senior Julianne Liebow hit a three-pointer to get Clark back within 10 before MIT ended the half on a 10-0 run.
• Waters and junior Jacqueline Faulise combined to score Clark's first five points of the third before Liebow and Waters hit three's to make it a 59-41 game with 3:16 remaining in the third.
• Faulise and graduate student Julia Beebe netted the final four points of the third as the Engineers took a 70-45 lead into the fourth.
• Schatzabel, Liebow, and Beebe each added three points in the fourth quarter as the Cougars fell 89-56.
