WORCESTER, Mass. – The Clark University baseball team (4-3) played their second home game of the year when they welcomed RIC (6-5) to Granger as the Anchormen came away with a 9-3 victory on Thursday afternoon.

How It Happened

• Junior Andres Hulfachor took the bump for Clark and after allowing a pair of runs in the first, got a pair of outs to end the inning.
• Senior Ryan Caulfield singled to right field and stole second before being left on base and in the bottom of the second, first-year Brayden Hollinrake singled to short in the second inning before being left on first.
• The Cougars made it a 4-1 game in the bottom of the fourth when graduate student Andrea Casabianca drove in a run after being hit by pitch to bring home sophomore CJ Johnson.
• First-year Michael Soares pitched a scoreless fifth for Clark and sophomore Carter Doran walked and stole second before being left on base.
• Junior Billy Sullivan belted a homer to left center in the bottom of the sixth that brought in Hollinrake to make it a 6-3 game.
• Junior Corey Giannelli tossed a scoreless seventh inning before Doran reached, stole second, and sophomore Ryan Bonja reached base before RIC got out of the jam.
• Casabianca got to first in the bottom of the eighth and Caulfield drew a walk in the bottom of the ninth as Clark was edged.

Inside the Stats

• Sullivan went 1-4 with a two-run homer.
• Hollinrake batted 2-3 with a run scored.
• Senior Anthony Keefe and Caulfield also had hits in the game.

The Cougars will return to play tomorrow with a road game against Mass. Maritime beginning at 4:00 p.m.
