Box Score NORTHAMPTON, Mass. – The Clark University women's lacrosse team (4-9, 1-6 NEWMAC) began their week with a road contest at Smith (7-8, 4-3 NEWMAC) and fell 22-3 to the Pioneers on Wednesday night from the Smith Turf Field.
How it Happened
- Senior Elizabeth Liakos recorded Clark's first shot on goal with 12:23 remaining in the first, but had the shot saved and later in the first senior Sophie Didier hit the post.
- Senior Maddie Conners recorded a pair of saves in the first and sophomore Meghan Fogarty had a shot saved towards the end of the first as Clark trailed 7-0.
- Fogarty and Didier each scored in the second quarter to make it an 8-2 game.
- Didier, sophomore Erin Lucas, and senior Kiley Simmons each had shots saved in the middle of the second and Conners had a save in the period as the Pioneers took a 13-2 lead into the half.
- Sophomore Annie Battle recorded a save early in the third and late in the fourth, junior Greer McCarty added a goal as Clark fell 22-3.
