Box Score WELLESLEY, Mass. – The Clark University women's lacrosse team (3-7, 0-4 NEWMAC) traveled to Wellesley (3-8. 1-3 NEWMAC) for a weekend NEWMAC matchup and the Blue came out on top with a 16-2 victory from Butler Stadium.
How it Happened
- Senior Maddie Conners recorded an early save after a goal from the Blue and with 7:56 to go in the first, senior Sophie Didier put a shot on target that was saved.
- Senior Kiley Simmons recorded Clark's second shot on goal of the game, but had her shot stopped as the Blue took a 7-0 lead into the second.
- Sophomore Annie Battle entered the game in goal in the second and recorded a save on the first shot she saw before senior Elizabeth Liakos netted a man-up goal off a feed from sophomore Erin Lucas as Clark made it a 7-1 game.
- Liakos put another shot on target before the half that was saved.
- Lucas, sophomore Aubrey Conners, and first-year Ciaran Cubbage each put shots on goal to open the third before Didier netted Clark's second goal of the game off a feed from Simmons.
- Conners saved a free position shot to end the third and another save to open the fourth, before recording two more saves in the fourth.
