How it Happened
- Both team's defenses controlled the game early and senior Greer McCarty was able to create Clark's first shot attempt in the 11th minute that went just wide of the mark.
- Sophomore Loren Root recorded a save with 11 seconds left in the first quarter as the game remained tied at 0-0 after one quarter of action.
- Sophomore Jenna Beauchain took a pair of Clark penalty corners early in the second quarter and senior Rachael Romain put a shot on goal in the 28th minute that was saved as the match remained scoreless at the half.
- Root recorded a pair of saves in the middle third quarter with consecutive shots going on target and over the next quarter and a half, neither team was able to put a shot on goal as the match went to overtime.
- In the final minute of overtime, Beauchain serviced in a ball off a penalty corner that went to Cacciapaglia and Cacciapaglia sent the ball in the air before Cubbage was able to tip the ball into the back of the cage to help Clark earn a 1-0 victory.
