Women's Tennis Ends Fall With 4-3 Loss to Lesley

BOSTON, Mass. – The Clark University women's tennis team (0-6) closed out their fall season Lesley (5-3) on Tuesday afternoon from the Beren Tennis Center and were edged 4-3 by the Lynx.

Doubles: Clark 2, Lesley 1
  • In number one doubles, first-year Larkin Gardinier and junior Merielle Kane clinched the team's doubles point recorded a thrilling 7-6 (7-4) victory over Mary Osucha and Lucy Boyce.
  • Seniors Amy Marin and Emma Allen blanked Tali-Ann Sutherland and Pamela Manriquez with a 6-0 victory in number three doubles.
  • Junior Crisi Patel and first-year Amanda Keith dropped their match 0-6 to Legendre and Stamp in number two action.
Singles: Lesley 4, Clark 2
  • Sophomore Varvara Maltseva recorded a convincing 6-3, 6-1 victory over Lucy Boyce in number four singles.
  • Allen blanked Ramos, winning 6-0, 6-0 in number six singles.
  • In number five singles, Patel won a combined five games, dropping the match 2-6, 3-6 to Stamp.
  • Gardinier (No. 1), and Kane (No. 2) each won two games across two sets before falling in their matches.
  • Keith (No. 3) was swept by Champa.
What's Next
Clark will be back in action on Tuesday, March 18 when they travel to Smith for their first NEWMAC match of the year.
