BABSON PARK, Mass. – The Clark men's swimming and diving team opened the 2024-25 season against Babson and fell 231-44 to the Beavers on Saturday afternoon.

How it Happened

• Bradyn Potter placed second overall in the 50-yard freestyle with a mark of 23.92 and later finished fourth in the 100-yard freestyle (53.71).
• In the 200-yard medley relay, Samuel Bier, Theodore Bayne, Daniel Smith, and Potter finished third with a time of 1:46.82.
• Rowan Compton (11:04.28) and Bier (11:20.01) placed third and fourth overall in the 1000-yard freestyle.
• In the 500-yard freestyle, Smith (5:15.84) and Compton (5:25.70) finished third and fourth.
• Bayne (27.34) and Powers (27.95) registered third and fourth place finishes in the 50-yard butterfly.
• Nick Cordell (2:01.10), Owen Powers (2:03.41), and Michael Villalba (2:05.22) finished fourth, fifth, and sixth in the 200-yard freestyle.
• In the 50-yard breaststroke, Bayne (30:42) and Joseph Genovesi (34.34) placed fourth and fifth.
• Smith (59.88), Compton (1:01.83), and Daniel Neau (1:19.76) finished fourth through sixth in the 100-yard butterfly.
• In the 100-yard backstroke, Villalba (1:01.78), Bier (1:02.20), and Cordell (1:03.88) registered fourth, fifth, and sixth place finishes.
• Bayne (1:06.64), Powers (1:13.09), and Genovesi (1:18.09) rounded out the top six overall in the 100-yard breaststroke.
• Potter (1:03.73), Villalba (1:06.69), and Genovesi (1:07.50) closed out the day in the 100-yard individual medley.
• In the 200-yard freestyle relay, Smith, Compton, Neau, and Declan Hanscom recorded a time of 1:44.27 to finish fourth overall.

What's Next
The scarlet and white will return to the water on Saturday when they travel to WPI for the Worcester City Championships beginning at 10:00 a.m.
