WORCESTER, Mass. – The Clark women's swimming and diving team hosted their home-opener and pride meet when they welcomed RIC, Bridgewater State, and WNE to the Kneller for a meet on Saturday afternoon from the Kneller Pool.
Clark topped WNE 138-60 and beat RIC 148-51 before falling 119-117 to Bridgewater State. The Cougars recorded eight total victories across their events.
How it Happened
- Belle Roderick finished fourth in the one-meter dive with a final score of 168.05.
- In the 200-yard medley relay, Amelia Kulzer, Daizy Sweetman, Abby Seguin, and Annemaire Walsh finished first with a time of 2:00.25.
- Sydney Kochensparger recorded a first-place finish in the 1000-yard freestyle with a mark of 12:02.57.
- Seguin won the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:08.00 and Kulzer (2:17.41) placed third.
- In the 50-yard freestyle, Libby Davidson registered a win with a mark of 26.50 and Walsh (27.99) finished fifth.
- Ivy Joyal (1:08.71) and Sweetman (1:09.53) posted second and third-place finishes in the 100-yard individual medley.
- Seguin later recorded a first-place finish in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:03.52 and Joyal (1:07.92) finished second.
- Davidson won the 100-yard freestyle with a mark of 57.73, while Walsh (1:02.46) and Hazel Thomas (1:03.53) placed fourth and fifth.
- Kulzer registered a third-place finish in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:08.25.
- In the 500-yard freestyle, Kochensparger recorded another victory with a mark of 5:49.70 and Sarah Tarinelli (6:24.71) finished fourth.
- Sweetman tallied another Cougar win in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:13.65.
- In the 200-yard freestyle relay, Davidson, Thomas, Joyal, and Kochensparger clocked a time of 1:47.90, which placed second.

The Cougars will be back in action on Friday, December 6 when they travel to WPI for the first day of the Gompei Invitational.
