WORCESTER, Mass. – The Clark women's swimming and diving team competed in their second even of the season at the 2024 Worcester City Championships and placed fourth overall on Saturday morning from the WPI Sports and Recreation Center.
How it Happened
- In the 400-yard medley relay, Amelia Kulzer, Charlotte Scott, Ivy Joyal, and Libby Davidson finished 10th overall with a time of 4:37.78.
- Sydney Kochensparger placed sixth overall in the 1000-yard freestyle event with a mark of 12:16.56.
- In the 200-yard freestyle, Davidson (2:09.33), Wynne Collins (2:11.22), and Sarah Tarinelli (2:27.44) finished 12th, 13th, and 18th overall.
- Kulzer (1:09.56) and Joyal (1:10.31) placed 10th and 11th in the 100-yard backstroke.
- In the 200-yard freestyle relay, Davidson, Kochensparger, Collins, and Abby Seguin finished seventh overall with a time of 1:50.03.
- Scott (2:57.54) competed in the 200-yard breaststroke, placing 11th overall.
- Seguin later finished fourth in the 200-yard butterfly with a mark of (2:18.56).
- In the 50-yard freestyle, Davidson (26.35), Collins (28.17), Hazel Thomas (28.19), and Annemaire Walsh (28.54) placed eighth, 13th, 14th, and 16th overall.
- Thomas (1:01.52) and Walsh (1:06.17) finished ninth and 14th overall in the 100-yard freestyle.
- In the 200-yard backstroke, Kulzer (2:30.24) placed 13th.
- Scott (1:20.96) and Davidson (1:22.44) swam in the 100-yard breaststroke.
- Kochensparger (5:54.04), Collins (6:05.29), and Tarinelli (6:23.64) finished 11th, 16th, and 18th overall in the 500-yard freestyle.
- In the 200-yard medley relay, Kulzer, Scott, Joyal, and Collins placed 12th with a time of 2:09.75.
- Joyal (1:07.84), Kulzer (1:12.94), Walsh (1:16.59), and Tarinelli (1:21.10) all swam in the 100-yard butterfly.
- In the one-meter dive, Belle Roderick recorded a score of 159.30.
- Clark closed out the day in the 400-yard freestyle relay as Davidson, Joyal, Collins, and Seguin clocked a time of 4:00.81.

The Cougars will return to the water on Saturday, November 23 when they welcome RIC/WNE/Bridgewater State to the Kneller beginning at 1:00 p.m.
