WORCESTER, Mass. – The Clark women's swimming and diving team closed out the 2024 portion of their schedule at the three day event and placed 10th at the Gompei Invitational with a score of 701.

How it Happened

• Daizy Sweetman (2:43.06) and Charlotte Scott (2:47.02) placed third and seventh in the C final of the 200-yard breaststroke.
• Amelia Kulzer (30.50), Libby Davidson (31.58), Sydney Kochensparger (32.86), and Wynne Collins (33.64) all swam in the C final of the 50-yard backstroke, placing second, fourth, eighth, and 10th overall.
• Sweetman later competed in the 100-yard breaststroke C final with a mark of 1:15.01.
• Kulzer (2:21.24) swam in the C final and placed sixth in the 200-yard backstroke.
• Ivy Joyal (1:05.11), Sweetman (1:07.06), Davidson (1:07.35), and Kulzer (1:08.79) all competed in the 100-yard individual medley final.
• Sweetman (33.21) placed second in the B final and Scott (35.98)/Hazel Thomas (38.57) competed in the C final of the 50-yard breaststroke.
• In the 200-yard medley relay, Kulzer, Sweetman, Annemaire Walsh, and Collins clocked a time of 2:00.22.
• Kochensparger, Scott, Sarah Tarinelli, and Thomas recorded a mark of 2:07.73 in the 200-yard medley relay.
• Joyal (2:20.66) and Kulzer (2:28.62) swam in the 200-yard individual medley preliminaries.
• In the 50-yard freestyle preliminaries, Collins (26.64), Thomas (27.91), Walsh (28.37), Davidson (28.81), and Brandy Mercado (30.07) all swam.
• Kochensparger (5:36.65) and Collins (5:55.67) competed in the 500-yard freestyle, while Kochensparger (19:39.98) swam in the 1650-freestyle event.
• In the 100-yard butterfly, Joyal (1:04.86), Walsh (1:09.92), and Tarinelli (1:15.89) participated in the preliminaries.
• In the 200-yard freestyle relay, Kochensparger, Joyal, Davidson, and Collins clocked a time of 1:47.78.
• Kulzer (1:05.85) and Thomas (1:13.19) swam in the 100-yard backstroke.
• In the 50-yard butterfly preliminaries, Joyal (28.99), Walsh (30.48), Scott (31.09), Sweetman (32.28), Mercado (32.46), and Tarinelli (32.56) all competed.
• Kochensparger (2:06.16), Collins (2:06.98), and Davidson (2:10.44) swam in the 200-yard freestyle event.
• In the 400-yard medley relay, Kulzer, Sweetman, Joyal, and Davidson clocked a time of 4:20.60.
• Belle Roderick posted a score of 289.05 to place sixth in the one-meter dive.
• Davidson (57.13), Collins (57.28), Thomas (1:00.15), Walsh (1:03.01), and Mercado (1:08.13) competed in the 100-yard freestyle.
• In the 400-yard freestyle relay, Joyal, Davidson, Kochensparger, and Collins clocked a time of 3:49.13.
