Broderick Reaches 100-Yard Breaststroke Final in Day Three of NEWMAC Championships

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Clark men's swimming and diving team finished day three of the 2024 NEWMAC Championships on Saturday night from Zesiger Pool.

How it Happened
  • Tyler Broderick qualified for the final in the 100-yard breaststroke with a mark of 1:00.00 and in the final, Broderick placed ninth with a time of 1:00.11.
  • In the 100-yard butterfly preliminaries, Daniel Smith (57.03), Declan Hamscom (1:00.41), Owen Powers (1:01.54), Oscar Wong (1:03.56), and Daniel Neau (1:13.86).
  • Bradyn Potter (1:54.53), Nick Cordell (1:55.79), and Sam Bier (1:56.43) competed in 200-yard freestyle event.
  • Michael Villalba clocked a time of 59.86 in the 100-yard backstroke.
  • In the 200-yard medley relay, Bier, Broderick, Smith, and Evan Sucov recorded a mark of 1:43.27.
What's Next
The Cougars will return to the water tomorrow morning beginning at 10:00 a.m. and competes at 6:00 p.m.
