NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Clark men's swimming and diving team competed in their final meet of the regular season at Coast Guard on Saturday afternoon.

How it Happened

• In the 200-yard medley relay, Sam Bier, Tyler Broderick, Daniel Smith, and Nick Cordell placed third with a time of 1:47.73.
• Alex Bielecki won the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:27.04 and later recorded a victory in the 400-yard individual medley with a mark of 4:52.59.
• Rowan Compton finished third in the 1000-yard freestyle with a mark of 10:54.99 and later was fourth in the 200-yard butterfly (2:14.25).
• Smith (1:00.78) and Compton (1:01.56) placed second and third in the 100-yard butterfly.
• In the 100-yard freestyle, Smith posted a third-place finish with a pace of 54.12.
• Bier placed second in the 200-yard backstroke (2:15.99) and later fourth in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:00.85.
• In the 100-yard breaststroke, Broderick clocked a time of 1:05.79.
• Evan Sucov finished fourth with a mark of 24.49 in the 50-yard freestyle.
• To close out the day, Jonathan Solomon, Michael Villalba, Bielecki, and Broderick placed second with a time of 1:40.07 in the 200-yard freestyle relay.

What's Next
The Cougars will return to the water on Thursday, February 22 when they compete in day one of the NEWMAC Championships beginning at 6:00 p.m.
