HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The Clark University women's tennis team (2-4) opened their 2024 spring break trip with a 6-3 loss to Randolph College on Thursday morning.

Doubles: Randolph 2, Clark 1

• Sophomore Merielle Kane and first-year Winifred Gakidis recorded an 8-1 win in number two doubles over Gianna Cabrera and Amanda Jagdeo.
• Junior Emma Allen and first-year Varvara Maltseva fell 8-4 to Maddie Mills and Asia Pham in number three doubles.
• In number one doubles, sophomore Crisi Patel and first-year Olivia Shipley dropped their match 8-1 to Lena Kersten and Sabrina Dickerson.

Singles: Randolph 4, Clark 2

• Shipley recorded an 8-4 win in number four singles over Gianna Cabrera.
• Gakidis registered an 8-6 victory in number five singles against Molly McNair.
• In number two singles, Kane dropped the match 8-6 to Dickerson.
• Maltseva competed in number six singles and fell 8-5.
• Senior Hannah Russo (8-1) and Patel (8-3) lost their matches in number one and three respectively.

What's Next
Clark will be back in action tomorrow morning when they close out their spring break trip against Buena Vista beginning at 8:30 a.m.
