WORCESTER, Mass. – The Clark men's tennis team (9-5, 2-3 NEWMAC) traveled to Springfield (4-8, 3-1 NEWMAC) for a conference contest against the Pride as they came away with a 6-3 victory on Sunday afternoon from the Springfield Field House.  

How it Happened
Doubles: Clark 2, Springfield 1

• Sophomore Edward Shepherd-Johnson and first-year Aris Kirkorian registered an 8-5 victory over Kimoto/Villanueva Abad in number one singles.
• Senior Tanner Honnef and junior Ryan Hovey recorded an 8-6 win against Sablon/Matsudaira in number two play.
• In number three doubles, sophomore Graham Russo and first-year Adham Seraj won five games as the Cougars fell 8-5.

Singles: Clark 4, Springfield 2

• Shepherd-Johnson tallied a 6-2, 6-3 win in number one singles against Kimoto.
• Kirkorian recorded a thrilling 7-6, 6-3 victory in number two singles over Villabueva Abad.
• In number four singles, Russo tallied a 7-6, 6-2 against Sablon.
• Hovey also recorded a 5-7, 6-3, 10-5 in number five singles over Gomulka.
• Honnef (No. 3) and Seraj (No. 6) fell in their singles matches.

What's Next
The Cougars will return to the court on Wednesday afternoon when they host senior day against Salve Regina beginning at 3:30 p.m.
