Women's Swimming and Diving Beats Husson/RIC/WNE Sparked by Nine Events Won

WORCESTER, Mass. – The Clark women's swimming and diving team hosted their second meet of the against Husson, RIC, and WNE and tallied victories over all three programs on Saturday afternoon from the Kneller Pool.  

Clark topped WNE 186-84, the Cougars won 226-48 over RIC, and beat Husson 200-82. The scarlet and white won two relays and seven individual events.

How it Happened
  • Lina Dawson, Daizy Sweetman, Abby Seguin, and Wynne Collins won the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:56.99.
  • Clark closed out the day with another victory in the 400-yard freestyle relay, Reaghan Samson, Libby Davidson, Dawson, and Collins clocked a mark of 3:55.57.
  • Seguin tallied a mark of 11:53.97 in the 1,000-yard freestyle to earn a victory and later won the 50-yard butterfly (27.28).
  • Collins registered a win in the 200-yard freestyle event with a time of 2:07.25 and Samson placed second (2:09.31).
  • Olivia Whitney earned a victory in the 50-yard breaststroke with a mark of 32.35 and Sweetman (34.52) and Charlotte Scott (34.86) placed second and third.
  • In the 50-yard freestyle, Davidson (25.90) won and Dawson (26.96) placed third.
  • Collins (57.25) registered a victory in the 100-yard freestyle and Davidson (57.31) finished second.
  • In the 200-yard backstroke, Samson won the event with a time of 2:21.01.
  • Dawson later recorded a victory in the 500-yard freestyle with a mark of 5:40.19 and Samson placed second (5:48.86).
  • Dawson (29.29), Amelia Kulzer (31.93), and Momo Sutton (33.78) all placed in the top five in the 50-yard backstroke.
  • In the 200-yard butterfly, Seguin (2:20.34), Kulzer (2:40.94), and Sarah Tarinelli (2:57.88) finished second, fourth, and fifth.
  • Belle Roderick posted a score of 198.15 in the one-meter dive and placed second, while later finishing in the three-meter dive with a mark of 111.80.
  • Whitney (2:45.82), Scott (2:47.60), and Sweetman (2:47.70) placed second through fourth.
  • In the 200-yard individual medley, Whitney (2:30.42) and Sweetman (2:37.66) posted second and fourth-place finishes.
What's Next
Clark will be back in action on Friday, December 5 when they travel to WPI for the first day of the Gompei Invitational starting at 10:00 a.m.
