WORCESTER, Mass. – The Clark women's swimming and diving team traveled down Park Ave to compete in the Worcester City Championships and first-year
Olivia Whitney recorded a victory in the 50-yard breaststroke on Saturday morning from the WPI Pool.
How it Happened
- Whitney won the 50-yard breaststroke with a mark of 32.63, which was ahead of Alia Ureta (33.56) from WPI.
- Seguin tallied a fourth-place finish in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:01.30, placed 11th in the 100-yard freestyle (and was 12th in the 100-yard backstroke (1:06.64).
- Lina Dawson recorded a fourth-place mark in the 50-yard backstroke with a mark of 29.65, while Joyal ranked 11th (32.54).
- In the one-meter dive, Maia Jaffee posted a score of 105.25 to place sixth.
- Daizy Sweetman (5:33.79) and Sarah Tarinelli (5:57.57) finished sixth and seventh in the 400-yard individual medley event.
- Dawson posted a sixth-place finish in the 50-yard butterfly with a time of 28.88, while Whitney (30.24), Ivy Joyal (30.41), and Wynne Collins (30.52) each finished in the top 13.
- Tarinelli (2:58.94) and Sweetman (3:05.24) later competed in the 200-yard butterfly and posted seventh and eighth place marks, while also competing in the 200-yard backstroke later (Sweetman 2:54.11, Tarinelli 2:55.99).
- Collins (27.17) and Dawson (27.28) finished ninth and 10th respectively in the 50-yard freestyle.
- Seguin (2:24.05), Reaghan Samson (2:21.37), Amelia Kulzer (2:34.34), Charlotte Scott (2:36.34), and Momo Sutton (2:40.73) swam in the 200-yard individual medley, with Seguin recording a 14th-place finish.
- In the 100-yard individual medley, Joyal (1:07.73), Lina Dawson (1:07.76), and Whitney (1:07.94) placed 11th through 13th.
- Scott (1:18.88), Seguin (1:20.83), Samson (1:20.83), Kulzer (1:26.17), and Sutton (1:29.37) swam in the 100-yard breaststroke.
What's Next
Clark will return to the water on Saturday, November 22 when they welcome Husson/RIC/WNE to the Kneller for a meet beginning at 1:00 p.m.
