WORCESTER, Mass. – The Clark women's swimming and diving team closed out the 2025 portion of their schedule at the Gompei Invitational from Friday through Sunday at the WPI Pool and placed ninth overall with a score of 1,325.
Abby Seguin competed in the A Final in the 50-yard butterfly, 100-yard butterfly, and 200-yard butterfly over the course of the three days.
Friday
- In the 200-yard medley relay, Reaghan Samson, Olivia Whitney, Abby Seguin, and Libby Davidson placed 15th overall with a mark of 1:54.10.
- Clark's B relay team of Amelia Kulzer, Daizy Sweetman, Sarah Tarinelli, and Wynne Collins finished 22nd with a time of 2:00.49.
- Seguin qualified for the A Final and finished fifth with a mark of 58.12, which was a second faster than her preliminary in the 100-yard butterfly.
- Davidson reached the A Final in the 50-yard freestyle and registered a mark of 25.69 after tallying a 25.22 in the preliminaries.
- Collins competed in the B final of the 50-yard freestyle and recorded a 25.79 time, which was .07 seconds faster than her preliminary time.
- In the C Final of the 200-yard breaststroke, Whitney (2:37.39) and Charlotte Scott (2:42.75) both swam and placed third and seventh overall.
- Kulzer competed in the 200-yard individual medley preliminaries and clocked a time of 2:34.34.
- In the 500-yard freestyle preliminaries, Samson (5:41.47), Lina Dawson (5:50.86), Collins (5:51.48), and Tarinelli (5:58.83) all swam.
- In the 800-yard freestyle relay, Samson, Davidson, Seguin, and Collins placed 11th with a time of 8:22.82.
- Bier, Whitney, Hanscom, and Davidson competed in the 200-yard mixed medley relay and clocked a mark of 1:50.96.
Saturday
- In the 200-yard freestyle relay, Collins, Davidson, Tarinelli, and Seguin placed 17th after clocking a time of 1:45.60.
- Seguin reached the A Final of the 50-yard butterfly and finished third overall with a time of 25.99 and later competed in the B Final of the 50-yard backstroke (29.05).
- Scott appeared in the C Final of the 400-yard individual medley and finished sixth with a mark of 5:22.48, which was over eight seconds faster than her preliminary results.
- Kulzer (1:05.02) and Samson (1:07.44) competed in the C Final of the 100-yard backstroke and finished ninth and 10th respectively and both later swam in the C Final of the 50-yard backstroke, clocking times of 30.42 and 30.77.
- In the C Final of the 200-yard freestyle, Collins placed ninth with a mark of 2:04.14.
- Whitney (1:14.42), Scott (1:15.13), and Sweetman (1:18.59) swam in the C Final of the 100-yard breaststroke.
- In the 400-yard medley relay, Seguin, Davidson, Kulzer, and Collins placed 20th overall with a time of 4:23.63.
Sunday
- Seguin competed in the A Final of the 200-yard butterfly and posted a time of 2:12.52, which ranked sixth overall.
- Sweetman won the 50-yard breaststroke C Final with a mark of 33.61.
- Davidson (55.50) reached the B Final, placing seventh and Collins (55.97) swam in the C Final of the 100-yard freestyle and finished third.
- Samson competed in the C Final of the 200-yard backstroke and registered a mark of 2:18.96, finishing sixth.
- In the 100-yard individual medley, Joyal (1:05.21) placed third in the B Final and Scott (1:07.76) finished seventh.
- Davidson (33.77) and Scott (34.43) also swam in the C Final of the 50-yard breaststroke and placed third and sixth.
- Samson (20:04.75), Tarinelli (21:02.67), and Sutton (23:01.23) all competed in the 1,650-freestyle event.
- In the 400-yard freestyle relay, Seguin, Collins, Davidson, and Joyal placed 12th with a time of 3:46.21.

The scarlet and white will return to the water on Saturday, January 10 when they host the University of Saint Joseph's (Ct.) for a meet beginning at 1:00 p.m.
