WORCESTER, Mass. – The Clark University men's basketball team (16-9, 12-4 NEWMAC) closed out their regular season and hosted their senior day game against Springfield (10-15, 7-9) and pulled away in the second half to prevail 78-64 over the Pride on Saturday afternoon from the Kneller Gymnasium.

How it Happened
- The Pride jumped out to an early 6-0 lead before McArdle and Saintilus combined for eight of the contests next 11 points as the Cougars trailed 9-8 with 15:20 to go in the first half.
- McArdle and Taylor then added a combined 10 points, sparked by eight from McArdle to give the scarlet and white an 18-13 advantage before Springfield netted four straight points.
- Saintilus then connected on a three-pointer off a feed from sophomore Quentin Pridgen and a pair of layups from first-year Boluwasefe John tied the contest at 25-25 with 4:07 remaining in the first half.
- Clark ended the half on a 10-4 run as Pridgen and McArdle each scored four points and Taylor made a layup as the Cougars took a 35-29 lead into the break.
- Taylor netted Clark's first five points of the second half before a layup from McArdle off a Taylor assist pushed the Cougars advantage to 44-37.
- Saintilus and Taylor each added three points over the next three minutes before an and-one from sophomore Christopher Clarke helped the scarlet and white take a 55-47 lead with 9:49 to play.
- Springfield cut the deficit to two before Taylor connected on a pair of triples to push the edge to 65-57 with 4:23 remaining.
- Graduate student Jordan Richard and Saintilus each hit three-pointers down the stretch and Pridgen hit three free throws late in the game as Clark came away with a 78-64 win.

- Clark made 29 shots, grabbed 36 rebounds, dished out 20 assists, and forced 16 turnovers.
- McArdle led the way with a season-high 28 points and pulled down 11 rebounds, which marked his ninth double-double of the year.
