WORCESTER, Mass. – The No. 2 Clark men's basketball team will compete in the NEWMAC Championship for the second straight season when they travel across town for a matchup against No. 1 WPI on Saturday afternoon from Harrington Auditorium.
The Cougars have now reached the NEWMAC Championship for the seventh time in program history and are 4-2 all-time in the game. Clark and WPI have met four times in the NEWMAC Tournament with both teams winning twice, including a Cougar win when they met in the 2010 NEWMAC Championship.

Regular Season Meetings
WPI won both matchups in the regular season against the Cougars as the Engineers recorded a 58-49 victory the first time they met and a 67-64 win in the second fixture. Senior
Isaiah Taylor led Clark with 15 points, five steals, and three assists at WPI. Junior

Scouting the Cougars

- Saintilus recorded team-highs in points (15) and assists (7) in the victory over the Bears, while sophomore Quentin Pridgen (13), first-year Boluwasefe John (13), Taylor (11), and senior Kekoa McArdle (10) also reached double-figures
- McArdle (18) and Pridgen (10) led Clark in rebounding, also tallying double-doubles with their efforts
- The Cougars lead the league in steals per night (8.1), assists per contest (15.2), and rebounds per game (40.5), rank second in the conference in points per game (75.4), three-pointers made, (251), field goals made (695), and opponent three-pointer percentage (31.4)
- Saintilus is ranked third in the NEWMAC and leads the team in points per game (17.0) while shooting 47.0 percent from the floor, also averages 4.3 assists and 3.8 rebounds per night
- McArdle has tallied 11 double-doubles this season and nearly averages a double-double with 12.0 points and 9.2 rebounds, while shooting 55.3 percent from the floor and currently is sitting at 991 career points
- Taylor also is averaging in double-figures with 11.3 points, while leading the team in steals per night (2.3) and adds 3.8 assists per contest

Scouting the Engineers
- No. 1 WPI reached the NEWMAC Championship with a 93-73 win over Emerson in the NEWMAC Semifinals and enter the contest on a 16-game winning streak, while posing a perfect 14-0 record at home
- In the victory against Emerson, Callahan poured in a game-high 26 points on 9-13 shooting and dished out seven assists
- Nathan Bledsoe (16), Jack Bleier (15), Newman (14), and Reidy (11) also scored in double-figures for WPI
- WPI leads the conference in points allowed (60.8), opponent field goal percentage (37.4), made three-pointers (253), turnover margin (3.04), and assist/turnover ratio (1.44), while adding 74.6 points per night
- Callahan leads the Engineer offense with an average of 15.6 points and a NEWMAC-leading 5.2 assists per contest
