WORCESTER, Mass. – The Clark University men's tennis team (3-8) traveled across town to take on Assumption (6-7) and dropped the match 7-0 on Wednesday afternoon from the Assumption Tennis Courts.

How it Happened
Doubles: Assumption 3, Clark 0

• In number one doubles, junior Edward Shepherd-Johnson and sophomore Aris Kirkorian recorded two games won, but dropped the match 2-6 to Aguirre and Bassani.
• Senior Ryan Hovey and junior Graham Russo collected three games won in number two doubles as they fell 3-6 to Bordt and Petersson.
• In number three action, sophomore Adham Seraj and first-year Ziad Tabbara won a game against Balancho and Pijnacker.

Singles: Assumption 6, Clark 0

• Shepherd-Johnson battled with Bassani for three sets, dropping the first one 4-6, won the second set 7-5, and fell 8-10 in the third set in number two play.
• Graduate student Tanner Honnef tallied six games won in the first set, but ultimately fell 6-7, 4-6 in number six action to Shibata.
• In number three singles, Tabbara combined to win seven games across two sets, but was bested by Petersson 3-6, 4-6.
• Kirkorian (No. 1) and Hovey (No. 5) both fell 1-6, 4-6 in their respective matches.
• Russo won a game in the first set in number four action, but lost 1-6, 0-6.

The scarlet and white will return to action on Saturday, March 29 when they travel to Wheaton for a NEWMAC contest.
