WORCESTER, Mass. – The Clark University baseball team (19-10) played the fourth of their six-game homestand when they welcomed Anna Maria (14-15) to Granger on Wednesday afternoon and jumped out to an early lead, while never looking back to come away with an 11-0 win over the Amcats in seven innings.
How it Happened
- Graduate student Casey Gorczyca tossed a scoreless first before Clark plated three runs in the bottom of the inning as junior Michael Soares drove in a run and junior Brayden Hollinrake recorded a pair of RBI's.
- After two innings of retiring the side in order before junior Dom Marinai belted a homer to left center, junior Alfonso Jalil drove in two runs with a double down the left field line, and senior Carter Doran singled up the middle to bring home Jalil to push the lead to 7-0.
- In the bottom of the fifth, first-year Cole Camara singled to left to bring home Hollinrake and extend the edge to 8-0 before adding three more runs in the bottom of the sixth as Camara drove in another run and Doran roped a two-RBI single to left as the Cougars recorded an 11-0 victory.
