WORCESTER, Mass. – The Clark University baseball team (21-10, 6-6 NEWMAC) hosted their senior day game against Springfield (10-18, 3-7 NEWMAC) and swept the Pride with a 4-2 win in game one and a 15-4 victory in game two on Saturday afternoon from Granger Field.

Game One: Clark 4, Springfield 2
- Springfield jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the first off an RBI single from Balchius before first-year Robby Roth tossed a scoreless second inning.
- Clark tied the game in the third inning when Doran hit a sacrifice fly to center field that plated sophomore Michael Salzillo to tie the game at 1-1 in the bottom of the third.
- Junior Tommy Flaherty retired the side in order in the fourth before junior Brayden Hollinrake and Jones each drove in runs with sacrifice fly's that plated junior Dom Mariani and graduate student Ryan Caulfield to give the Cougars a 3-1 lead.
- The Pride added a run in the fifth before the Cougars pushed their edge to 4-2 in the bottom of the sixth when graduate student Anthony LoCasto hit a sacrifice fly to score Mariani.
- Flaherty pitched another scoreless inning in the seventh before graduate student Billy Sullivan and junior Michael Soares reached base, but Springfield got out of the inning.
- Graduate student Benjamin Spencer closed the door on the Pride in the ninth by retiring three straight batters as the Cougars won 4-2.
Game Two: Clark 15, Springfield 4 (F/7)
- Spencer retired the side in order in the first before Clark scored a run in the first as Doran scored off a fielding error to give Cougars a 1-0 lead.
- Springfield plated three runs in the top of the second before the Cougars scored three runs off a three-run homer from Doran that brought home Salzillo and Bonja to give Clark a 4-3 lead.
- Graduate student Casey Gorczyca entered the game in the third and got out of a jam and in the top of the fourth, Sprinfield tied the game at 4-4 with a homer.
- Hollinrake drove in run with an RBI walk and junior Alfonso Jalil recorded two RBI's with a single to left field that brought home Mariani and Soares as Clark led 7-4.
- After a scoreless fifth from Gorcyzca, Sullivan recorded an RBI after drawing a walk to extend the edge to 8-4 in the bottom of the inning.
- Gorcyzca recorded another scoreless inning in the sixth before exploding for seven runs in the sixth as Salzillo, Doran, Soares, and Hollinrake all recorded RBI's as the scarlet and white recorded a 15-4 victory over Springfield in seven innings.

The Cougars will return to the field on Tuesday afternoon when they travel to the NEBC for a NEWMAC contest against WPI beginning at 3:30 p.m.
