Women's Lacrosse Ends Season With Loss at Coast Guard

NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Clark University women's lacrosse team (6-11, 3-7 NEWMAC) finished their 2025 season with a NEWMAC road game at Coast Guard (9-5, 7-3 NEWMAC) and dropped the contest 17-1 to the Bears on Wednesday night.

How it Happened
  • Senior Annie Battle stopped a pair of shots within the first five minutes of play and tallied another save before fellow senior Aubrey Conners fired a shot on target that was stopped by Maici Mintchwarner.
  • Graduate student Mary Greene and senior Saorla Scully both caused turnovers before the end of the quarter and both junior Elizabeth Cacciapaglia and graduate student Greer McCarty won draw controls as Clark trailed 5-0.
  • Battle tallied a save early in the second before first-year Paige Kemish netted a man-up goal for Clark off a feed from E. Cacciapaglia to make it a 7-1 contest.
  • Scully and E. Cacciapaglia each caused turnovers, Conners fired another shot on goal, and Battle saved three more shots as the Cougars were down 8-1 entering the half.
  • Senior Erin Lucas caused an early turnover in the third and Battle stopped another shot before Greene turned the Bears over two more times in the period.
  • Senior Meghan Fogarty put a pair of shots on target in the fourth and E. Cacciapaglia saw a shot saved, while Battle recorded two more saves as the Cougars fell 17-1.
